Effekterna av flygstoppet
Handelskammaren i Sydsverige har precis presenterat en intressant rapport om effekterna av flygstoppet beroende på vulkanutbrottet. Bland annat drar man följande slutsatser:
* Fyra av tio företag har påverkats negativt, trots att flygstoppet ”bara” varade en vecka.
* Få företag avser att förändra sin logistik och /eller resmönster på grund av stoppet.
* De två första slutsatserna ger den tredje: Näringslivet är starkt beroende av flygförbindelser och det är svårt att förändra detta.
Effekterna beskriver näringslivets stora behov av fungerande flygförbindelser men vi kan också lägga till effekterna för många, många människor som inte kom fram till sina nära och kära, semesterorter eller studier m m.
SAS och andra flygbolag har också uppmärksammat att alternativen inte fungerade tillräckligt bra, det blev köer, förseningar, överfulla tåg och mycket längre restider.
Så även askmolnet har bevisat att vi inte kan klara oss utan flyg!
Självklart behöver vi dock också öka sambanden mellan flyg, tåg, bussar, taxi och sjöfart så att det skall fungera smidigare i framtiden.
Ett är nog säkert och det är att nya störningar i trafiken kommer att uppstå igen!
