Flyget visade upp sig!
Jag hoppas att årets flygseminarium i Almedalen har blivit startskottet till en återkommande tradition, för visst måste det varje år finnas frågor som rör flyget som vi kan debattera! Det förekommer i och för sig alltid seminarier där transportfrågorna behandlas men flyget har sällan haft någon framträdande roll. Jag tycker att vi både behöver synas tillsammans med de andra transportslagen likaväl som att vi har enbart flyg som tema. Den här gången blev det en blandning av gammalt och nytt; flygets miljöarbete, flygbolagens framtid, flygindustrin som motor för teknikutveckling, forskningen som idégivare till nya jobb, m m. Debatter blir aldrig riktigt som man planerar… Jag tycker att vi rätt ofta från Svenskt Flygs sida har beskrivit hur lite Co2 utsläpp flyget står för. Samtidigt menar vi ändå att flyget måste ta sitt ansvar och vi berättar om pågående miljöarbete hos flygbolag, flygplatser mfl. Det uppfattas dock ofta som en nyhet, så även i Almedalen. Och det kanske måste upprepas många många gånger och på olika sätt för att det skall bli en sanning!
Jubileumsåret fortsätter med många fler aktiviteter och jag hoppas också att flyget skall märkas i valrörelsen! Jag vill passa på och tacka alla flygvänner för en mycket givande vår, vi har haft många spännande arrangemang som jag tror har ökat intresset för flyg! Och ett särskilt tack för alla inblandade i det första Flygets Dag i Almedalen! Nu blir det semester. Vi ses framöver!
