Samhällsnyttan med flyget
Så här i valtider så finns det alldeles starka skäl att uppmärksamma flygets samhällsnytta, dvs vad flyget bidrar med för att vi har en tillväxt av företag och jobb. Dels att påpeka att flyget är outstanding för att frakta människor och varor långa sträckor och att det ingår i ett globalt, regionalt och lokalt transportnät. Dels också att flyget i sig själv med dess teknik och avancerad kompetens är en motor för nya jobb, både vad gäller likartade branscher som helt andra näringar.
Sverige behöver ha många framtida ben att stå på om vi ska klara oss bra i en internationell konkurrens. Flyget ger t ex upphov till idéer om hur materiel som komposit kan användas på fler områden som kräver bra hållfasthet. Kravet på säkerhet och precision är en förutsättning för ett fungerande flyg och ger kunnande och idéer som kan användas inom t ex IT-säkerhet, hemsjukvården av gamla, miljöövervakning av utsläpp i våra vattendrag eller design av avancerade produkter m m. Behoven växer ständigt!
Jag tycker att fler politiker behöver framhålla det här i samhällsdebatten och i valrörelsen. Kanske är det så att vi som är lokala politiker och som verkar nära flyg och ser de tydliga resultaten, har lättare att förstå!
